53rd St Barnabas Scout Group
Lions Patrol
Call: King of all the Animals
Lions Patrol: Treasure Hunt 17th Nov 2012.
All the scouts met at the Limassol castle at 8:30.We
started off by going to a small church called Agia
Thekla. Afterwards we went to the Limassol Castle,
where their were statues of animals, tombs, ancient
coins and old lanterns. When we got to the top of
the castle we saw a water tower and Olivia (was an
explorer who looked after us) told us that the water
tower was used to supply the whole of Limassol
with water many years ago.

Later on we had to go to a souvenir shop and buy a souvenir representing Limassol, then we
went to Saint Andrews street leading us to Molos. We saw the skate park we were told by Olivia
that it was a new part of the Molo and it was redone to modernise the Limassol sea front. After
that we headed to a shop called Airtime and a man told us about how to surf, indoor ski,
rollerblade, skateboard and to always were safety gear e.g. elbow pads, knee pads and
HELMETS!
After we left, we passed a place where it was full of graffiti (
Street art ) where it was allowed to do, then we went to a
museum, there we had to answer some questions. At the
end of the whole trip we went to the new Zoo and saw
reindeer's, camels, otters, swans, lots of different birds,
owls, peacocks, monkeys, eagles and loads more
animals! We had an amazing time at the zoo and we thank
parents for taking us there and Skip for organizing it all!
