Dear Parents,
1. The Trip to Pafos has been cancelled. The next Cub Meeting will be on the 24th Jan 2026 at the Moutayiaka Scout Hut at the normal times 3.00pm to 5.30pm.
2. Due to the change in weather Scouts can wear their official Purple Warm top over their full uniform. The Purple top can be bought from the Limassol Scout Shop.
3. On Friday 13th Feb the Limassol Scout District will have their Adults Carnival Party at Ceti-Locale starting at 8pm which is open to all Parents and friends. The cost of the ticket is €35 which is entrance, DJ, finger food and unlimited local drinks. This is a good night out and also supports the Limassol Scout District. We need your support. Tickets can be bought from the Leaders.
4. This year’s Summer Camp for 53rd Young Explorers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers will be from Saturday 27th to Tuesday 30th June. We will be camping in Happy Valley. More info will be handed out in May.
5. On the 22nd February Scouts all around the World celebrate the birthday of Lord Baden Powell by remembering and retaking their Scout Promise. This day is known as Thinking Day. As part of our Thinking Day celebrations the Limassol Scout District is organizing a Blood Donation event on Saturday 21st Feb at the 289 Scout Group in Ayia Fyla 2.30pm to 5pm. Any Parents wishing to donate blood are welcome. Those Parents taking part please let me know. The location and a reminder will be posted on the Parents messenger Chat closer to the date.
6. We remind Parents that the 53rd has recycle bins for batteries at the Scout Huts in Moutayiaka and Yermasoyia.
